Eternal Perspective

There is an Eternal Perspective to everything in life. It just depends on how you see it. If you happen to take it a different way than another person, that's ok. This is how life works. Just be careful how you treat it, You only get ONE chance to live it, don't fill it with wasteful things.

3rd Nephi 18:24

 "Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world."

If the Savior Stood Beside Me

"If the Savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do? Would I think of His commandments and try harder to be true? Would I follow His example? Would I live more righteously if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?
If the Savior stood beside me, would I say the things I say? Would my words me and true and kind if He was never far away? Would I try to share the gospel? Would I speak more reverently if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me?
He is always near me, though I do not see Him there. And because He loves me dearly, I am in His watchful care. So I'll be the kind of person that I know I'd like to be if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me."

That is a song by Sally DeFord, We sang it as a Young Women's group during our Evening of Excellence and I have Memorized it and I sing it to myself quite frequently actually:)

Anything is Possible

Anything is possible with the Lord. No matter what you ask of him, if you do it in Faith, he will help you through it.
A fortune cookie that I read today made me smile also...."Not just live and let live...but live and HELP live." The Lord will use you to help bless and protect others of the world or church. It is not your job to come and just live, but it is your job to come and help others live. Don't be afraid to put yourself out in the world to help others, you will bless others lives and help build and strenghten your own tesitmony.

Pure Love

John 11:35

Jesus wept.

The shortest verse in the Quad. Simple, yet elegant. Full of so much meaning. In the chapter it was talking about Jesus raising Lazereth from the dead. He had just seen his mother cry and his whole family weep in front of him. Christ wept openly because He knew that Lazereth was going to come back.

But He also cries for us. Our slip ups, our sucesses, our life. Christ weeps for us a lot. No doubt about that. He has so much love for us. Pure Love.

priesthood blessings

What would we do without Priesthood Blessings? They have always given me that extra support through my trials. I love them when they hit me. It helps you to be calm and understand why you are going through this. My dad is such an amazing man. He is a worthy Priesthood holder, He has always been willing and has always given us Priesthood blessings when we ask. He is so great. He and my mom always know what to say. Thanks:)

And the office of their ministry is to call men unto repentance, and to fulfil and to do the work of the covenants of the Father, which he hath made unto the children of men, to prepare the way among the children of men, by declaring the word of Christ unto the chosen vessels of the Lord, that they may bear testimony of him.

My Grandparents are going on a mission!! They got called to the Belgium/Netherlands mission

[actually basically right where my grandpa served his mission!]

{this is his dream come true}

And this is the scripture they have decided to put on their Mission call thing.

The only difference between sinners and saints. Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.

[ My thought: We are all just trying our best. Have more compassion one with another]

Everyone will make it back to our Father in Heaven if, we keep the atonement in our lives. Not keep the commandments alone, just keep the atonement in our lives. 'Cause everyone will screw up sometime in their lives.

Brother Hales was such an amazing substitute for my Seminary class today. He was very inspirational. And I found out that he coaches my cousin in Baseball:)
